A lovely large antique 19th century French confit pot with drippy mustard yellow glaze from the South of France, Castelnaudary. There is a drainage hole on the base. This pot or planter is hand thrown with charming handles known as 'ears'. These jars were used for storing and preserving cooked meat. It displays beautifully, perfect with a bouquet of flowers.
