A gorgeous Mid-Century Italian white porcelain blanc de chine creamware trompe l’oeil fruit soup tureen or soupière with lid, decorated in relief, circa 1950. No maker's mark. The lid is topped with a finely modeled pear, apple, and grapes surrounded by leaves. Scrolling leaf handles enhance the oval form. The body has ornate foliate designs in a lovely white glaze.
