A superb vintage 1930s Italian hand hammered silverplate planter / jardiniere / coal scuttle / wine cooler. Marked on reverse: "Battute a Mane, Silver plate" meaning "Beaten by Hand". It is well made with a stylish design in a lovely silver patina and riveted swing handle. It would be beautiful with a plant, displayed with decorative items, or used as a wine cooler / champagne bucket. It is 7.75"H to the tallest point of the rim and 14"H with the handle extended.
