A superb large 19th Century French copper oval wine cooler or champagne ice bucket, also known as a rafraîchissoir, from Avignon, France, circa 1850. It has been professionally polished and lacquered. This beautiful piece is hand forged and finely crafted with a lovely polished copper patina, original tin lining, and brass ring handles. It's perfect as a wine cooler, large enough to hold several bottles, or could also be used as a planter and would make a gorgeous table centerpiece with a flower arrangement.
