Large 19th Century French Glazed Yellow Confit Pot
A superb large antique 19th century French confit pot with mustard yellow glaze from the South of France, Castelnaudary. This pot or planter is hand thrown with charming handles known as 'ears'. These jars were used for storing and preserving cooked meat. It's a nice large size and displays beautifully, perfect with a bouquet of flowers. These are lovely displayed in groups as shown in the last photo, and we have several different sizes listed individually in our shop.

Good antique condition with minor chips and wear consistent with age; an old tight hairline on the rim.
