19th Century French Glazed Green Confit Pot
Antique 19th century French confit pot with green glaze from the South of France, Castelnaudary. There is a drainage hole on the bottom for use as a jardiniere. This pot or planter is hand thrown with charming handles known as 'ears'. These jars were used for storing and preserving cooked meat. It displays beautifully, perfect with a bouquet of flowers or used in the kitchen to hold utensils.
