19th Century English Staffordshire Equestrian Fox Stirrup Cup
A fine antique 19th Century English Staffordshire porcelain fox hunting stirrup cup. Acquired from a collector's estate in England. This charming stirrup cup is in the form of a fox head and hand painted with beautiful details and with "Tallio" on the collar. As part of an English tradition, a stirrup cup is a "parting cup" given to riding companions while in the stirrups, usually with Port or Sherry, before embarking on a foxhunt. It's perfect for the collector and would also make a wonderful gift for the equestrian or hunting enthusiast.
